Curiosity killed the cat. That’s how this book got started, only when I heard the phrase, I didn’t think that someone had gotten into trouble for asking the wrong question, or found out something that they shouldn’t have by asking too many questions. I wondered who Curiosity was and why did they kill the cat? Did they not like cats? Was it an accident? Were they bad pet owners, just bad people, or even worse, murderers of some kind?
As you can see, the questions were many, and I immediately saw stories in these much used phrases. Only not like the way you are used to thinking about them.
I think you will find these short stories very entertaining which elicit a grimace and or a shock once or twice, a smile or a tear or two, a burst of laughter, and many “I didn’t see that coming", thoughts!
Have fun...

But unlike the child friendly versions you may be familiar with, these stories reflect a darker vision that I think the Brothers Grimm would have preferred. I don't recommend reading these folk stories to children unless you want them to have nightmares. Then by all means.....
